The Concept of History Repeating Itself

I posted a new article on my website (www.pearlsofnostradamus.com) about the argument people have made over belief in Nostradamus, which is a valid argument. The argument is based on 450 years of people saying they know what Nostradamus meant, only to have more people end up questioning what those people said, than believe in Nostradamus. The argument logically breaks down like this: (all truths)

Prophecy is predicting the future.
The future is an endless amount of time.
Events in history bear general similarities to other past events [history repeats].
Future events will be similar to past events [history repeats].
Without a limit on when a predicted event will occur, only stated to be in a generally endless future, all predicted events constructed based on known actions, similarly having occurred in past events, will appear to happen again [history repeats].

This argument is valid because people have promoted that Nostradamus saw the end of the world coming in the year 3797. In 2010, a prediction expected to occur sometime between now and 3797 has a pretty good CHANCE of happening. That means CHANCE does not a Prophecy make. Prophecy, to be tested and deemed as truely prophetic, needs to be:

Foresighted, not hindsighted - It WILL happen in the future.

Specific, not general - It WILL happen this way.

Limited, not limitless, nor within limits that exceed reasonable expectations - It WILL happen in one's lifetime [minimally] - It WILL happen in the foreseeable future [preferably].

Because fools have ventured to think they know what Nostradamus meant, and say what they think loudly, only to be found fools, the result has been for most to think Nostradamus was the fool, and not the one doing the "thinning for him".

Nostradamus did write "the year 3797". This has nothing to do with some year numbered "3797". If it did, it had nothing to do with Julian or Gregorian dates. For instance, today [May 22, 2010] is the 6th of Sivan, 5770, according to the way the Hebrew calendar is set up. In other words, "the year 3797" could mean the year 37 AD, not long after Christ had died, risen, and ascended, and Christianity had begun. Still, that is not what "the year 3797" means.

The future that Nostradamus wrote of, in The Prophecies, is FORESIGHTED, SPECIFIC, and LIMITED to our lifetimes, although some that he predicted is part of our lifetimes in history class in school. Everything he wrote was future to him, thus FORESIGHTED, but in 1555 it needed to apppear general and limitless, because it would be almost 100 years before the first quatrain holding a prediction would come true. Then, another 100 years for another couple to come true; and then another 100 years for a few more. It would not be until after the 20th century rolled around that clumps of predictions began coming true. Even still, none of those were known to happen before they happened. All were determined in hindsight. This means what was predicted in 1555 would have to wait 450 years before it could become SPECIFIC, and LIMITED, because 450 years is well beyond one's normal lifespan. It would have been foolish to write a true Prophecy in 1555, which said, "Make sure you test this that will happen in 1948! Man, that one's a biggie." If that was the case, he might as well have said, "In 3797, check this out!"

I am here to tell everyone how to get the SPECIFIC out of the quatrains. Get the SPECIFIC, and you can go run and test all you want. I can tell you that all the stuff you hear in the news, about terrorism, threats of war, chances of environmental disasters [manmade], is what the quatrains tell about. All one has to know is that Washington D.C. will be suprise nuked, and you can sit back and wait to see it proven on the TV news [if the satelites are still working then]. What is happening now is mostly warning signs, before the bad stuff really starts. I can list over 700 SPECIFIC predictions that WILL happen, if no one gets off their butts and does anything to stop them from happening. The proof in that thar puddin is in those 200 or so that have already come true exactly as SPECIFICALLY FORESEEN, those that can be tested with documented history. They are hindsighted, but they are definitely SPECIFIC and LIMITED. But, test all you want. You have to see the SPECIFICS and know the LIMIT is your lifetime.

Still, in the article I posted, I address how all that specificity can be rolled up into a future that will be just like what has already been prophesied to come true, and did come true. That future foretold in the past is the stories of the Old Testament, and the New Testament. If you want to see your future, look at the future Jeremiah told to the people of Judah - before they lost everything. See how The Prophecies is just like The Revelation of John. If you don't want all the SPECIFICS bogging you down, with all that testing that comes with the SPECIFICS, then just sit back and see how the future of Nostradamus is telling everyone if you turn your back on God, you walk alone. You walk alone, you mess up big time. People, we are walking alone this very minute. It is a story that has repeated time after time.

P.P.S. - Grunt, or type a syllable, or something. Let me know if ANYONE actually reads anything posted here. Gosh be darned, don't go making comments or anything that would indictate higher intelligence life. I am happy seeing mircobial life forms at this point.
